Servers & AntiCheats
Mio is a utility mod and we highly recommend using the client only on servers where it is allowed, such as 2b2t and Constantiam.
Usually, anarchy servers use one of the two main kinds of anticheat plugins: Grim and NCP.
Grim
Grim is known for its movement checks that rely on player simulation. For example, if you try to use Sprint set to "Instant" mode, it won't work as it's not supposed to in vanilla, which Grim is trying to simulate
Examples of Grim servers are 2b2t, Constantiam, and 9b9t.
On Grim servers we recommend:
-
In AntiCheat module settings:
- Enable MovementSync.
- Set StrictDirection mode to Grim.
- Enable 2b2t if you are playing on 2b2t.
-
Disable Velocity module or set its Mode to Walls.
- Don't use blatant movement modules like Step, LongJump, Jesus, Flight and etc.
- If you are using SpeedMine try enabling Grim and NoBreakDelay settings there.
NCP
NCP is a less strict anticheat than Grim in case of movement, requiring a different playstyle and configuration to run properly.
Examples of NCP servers are crystalpvp.cc and 6b6t.org.
On NCP servers we recommend:
- In AntiCheat module settings:
- Disable MovementSync and 2b2t settings.
- Set StrictDirection mode to either NCP or Off.
- Don't use Grim specific settings on NCP such as Velocity Mode Grim, Speed Mode Grim, GrimStrict under StrictInventory in NoSlow and etc.
Additional
Most anarchy servers do not allow you to eat and place/break or perform other actions at the same time. To make modules pause while eating, enable the MultiTask module and change its mode. Then, disable the settings in the MultiTask module that have the same name as the module you want to pause. For example, if you want FeetPlace to pause while eating you need to enable MultiTask module, change the Mode to Strict and disable FeetPlace setting under MultiTask module.
There are 4 MultiTask modes:
- None - Does not allow any actions while using an item. It will pause everything - placements, attacks, and inventory interactions.
- Strict - Similar to None, but allows specific actions while using an item, such as attacking, changing hotbar slots, or managing inventory.
- Offhand - Only allows multitasking when using an item in your offhand. Eating with your main hand will pause other modules, but eating with your offhand will not.
- Always - Always allows multitasking, modules will not pause at all while using an item.
